Communication is really important between the two parties.  Well, we’ve been with this kind of situation when my dad was working as a Seaman. He had no choice but to leave us for his work. We knew that he’s doing it for us and for our future needs. Cellular phones are not that in demand at that time so we used telephones to communicate to each other. Sending letters is very impossible since he’s job is not a land based. I remember my mom keep on buying international phone cards to contact my dad. Same thing goes with my dad, he usually buy prepaid phone cards before he leave the country for work. Calling cards a much cheaper here so he usually buys a dozen or two with him b. Just like what I said, communication is really important, it plays a very important role in making a stronger long distance relationship.
