Emoticons

Do you know what are the so called “emoticons“? If you are into Online chatting, I’m sure you are very much aware of it. I am once addicted with the use of these emoticons and it feels like an element that will make your conversations more colorful and alive. For me, it is a convenient way of expressing your emotions to others. Whether you are happy, sad, angry or confused, there are emoticons ready for you to use. Emoticons are evolving rapidly today, from being those normal smileys, you can now use different images like animals, icons, and a whole lot more. Interestingly, most of the emoticons today are moving and producing sounds which is, by far, the most convenient and easiest way to express your feelings whether you are in a chat room or even in some other social networking sites like Facebook.

Did you know that emoticons were used as early as 1980′s?  Though during the early years, the use of emoticons are quite limited. Thanks to the technology advancement, emoticons can now be used in so many different ways. Just like what I have mentioned earlier. Emoticons is like an element that will make any conversations more colorful and alive. Just imagine how boring it could be when you chat with someone and you will see nothing but plain text messages.
