Original is always better than duplicate. No matter how good duplicate looks from outside, sooner or later it will fade out. This goes for relationship too. Do not pretend to be other that your are not, always Be Yourself. Never put a mask to hide the real you. You cannot pretend for long and change yourself completely. The outcome of this will tremble your relationship.
So whenever you are getting into a relationship, be honest with each other. Do not pretend to be what you are not in order to impress other. Let people love and admire you for what you actually are.

My High school life wasn’t that good but wasn’t that bad after all….

What’s good for a student who’s being teased by his classmate all the time?

What’s  good for a student who is valued by his classmates when they need his help for some academic assistance?

If i am to rank my high school experiences well i might give a 45% good

Well, i love my highschool life, the way i received compliments from others especially from my teachers.

i learned a lot from them and helped me to  improved my other skills as well

But i never got a chance to improve my social skills, i failed to know more of what a “high  school life” all about

I thought “high school life” will just deal with earning high grades and working hard to impress your teachers

I ignore all other things that i know may affect my studies…. and for that,

I regret.

And as ive been to College,i just realized everything of why does i never ipen my self for friendship and other social activities.

Is it my fault?

Well, yes, i knew its my fault……. and i also knew that its too late for me to change everything

Im going to be 20 this coming December, and time really run out so Fast…..

I have to give focus for my work but then im still hoping that i could have enough time to spend for some social activities like hanging out with my friends(do i have one?), attending some social gatherings, and more

all in all i must say Highschool Life wasnt that bad after all

and as what the “BOWLING SOUP BAND ” said

HIGHSCHOOL NEVER ENDS!!!!!

http://www.avalanchestyle.com/forum/AVS/PrayingHands.jpeg

I used to ask myself why people pray? Is it for forgiveness of sins? Or thanksgiving? Or guidance? I believe everyone have their own reasons to pray – either for personal or family-related or both.

I often wonder if God hear every prayer uttered by each person. But then I realized that if God will answer all prayers, then everyone will be satisfied with their life. But knowing the fact that not all prayers were answered, why are still some people who pray? Is it because of faith? If I were to ask you why you pray, what will you reason out? Or should I ask you if you pray at all? If not, then why?

As for me, I pray because praying to God uplifts my soul. Talking to Him clears my mind and eases my pain. Prayer does not only establishes my relationship with God, it is vital in maintaining my relationship with Him. Though I know that God will not literally answer my prayer, I know deep in my heart that He heard me.

I believe it is all about FAITH after all.

Here’s the last part for our topic abut “leaving a Legacy of Youth”. We’re done with 2 of the 3 crucial words which are “Speech” and “conduct”. Now let’s move forward into  “Purity”

Now, to be pure is quite a tall order in a dog-eat-dog world. By purity we do noy only mean physical purity, but also purity of thoughts.

http://www.zencollegelife.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/purity.jpg

We have a brain that tells our body to move. And just like that, the thoughts that enter our mind cause us to speak his way, and behave that way and react this way. We are often told to guard our heart, buy we must equally guard our mind. If there is power in the speken words, so is there power in our thoughts.

According to personaldevelopment.com,  our mind goes through three steps. First, various things stimulate our senses and create thoughts in our consious mind. Second, thoughts are sent to our subconcious mind where they become beliefs. Lastly, those beliefs are automaticaly acted upon, resulting either negative or positive behaviour. Did you get that? the beliefs that are formed in your mind, are the ones you act on. Do you read sleazy novels? Do you watch movies that cultivate violence in your thoughts? Do you listen to songs that speak of hatred? What do you feed your brain with?

You must always choose good stimuli. Watch movies that promotes Christian values,. Listen to songs that speak of love, peace and hope and friendship.

When you have pure thoughts, your actions, reactions, and intentions become positive. You become a person of essence. And when you are touched with your essence , you are able to extend this positivity to other people and are able to spread the message of love, peace, hope, friendhip, etc to others. In this mannr you set an example. And once the example progresses into a trend, then into a habit, and eventually becomes a part of other people’s system of beliefs, you would have left alegacy among them inyour own little way!

Speech, conduct, purity…. Speak no evil, do no evil and think no evil. this shall be your new challenge as a teen. You are the youngblood of today. Make  a Difference!

as i said before the part of this post will tackle about conduct. After we had learn something about the imporatnce of speech and how it helps to leave a legacy of youth, this time lets move forward and discuss something about “Conduct”

http://www.michaeldking.com/images/oaktree.jpg

There is an anonymouse saying that goes like this; ” True faith does not contradict its words by its conduct” How can one say that he believes in being charitable when he refuse to share a pack of chips with his seatmate?  How can one say that she believes in spreading love and peace when she screams at her sister for accidentally stepping on her toe? You can’t help what you feel, but you can help what you do.

As with words, we must watch our behavior. You can tell a lot about a person by the way he behaves. Because action speak louder than words. As christians, our actions must match our faith. We must walk the talk as jesus did.

The best way to valu one’s fellowmen is to put oneself in their skin, to emphasize with them. When you have learned top make this a habit, you will find yourself becoming nicer and more respectful of everyone around you.

“And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God ~ Acts 24:16

My next post will be the last part which will give focus to “purity”

The other day, I came across this beautiful massage in the book of psalms that remind me how short the life is.

http://thejobsearchguru.com/notesfrom/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/bigstockphoto_hourglass_371138.jpg

“Lord, in yor eyes a thousand years are like yesterday come and gone, no more than a watch in the night. You Sweep men away like a dream, like grass which springs up and flowers, by evening withers and fades. Our span is seventy years, or eighty for those who are strong. And most of these are emptiness and pain, they pass quickly and we are gone. Make us know tha shortness of our life, that we may gain wisdom of heart.”

Life is short. This is the truth we often choose to forget. We live as though we would never die. People who cling to power at all cost, who spend their waking hours amassing wealth, who wantonly seek for pleasure that money can buy, are actually afraid to die. They have transmuted their fear of death into an insatiable quest for fame, fortune, and sensual enjoyment. They make life shorter by many senseless acts of forgetfulness. For instance, they forget the distinction between the urgent and the important, the trivial and the essential, the transistory and permanent, the valuable and the worthless. They spend their prcious time worrying about past mistakes and future bankruptcy, forgetting to see the unrepeatable opporunities for happiness in the present moment.

Life is short . This is a truth that is frequently unwelcome because it is sacry. We would rather see Death as the death of someone else than ours. This is the reality and we cannot do nothing about it so we have to live our life to the fullest. Spend your life by following God’s will. Gos have his reason for everything and he knows what’s good for us and whats not.

If there is black, there is white. If there is good, there is evil. This is what Yin and Yang tries to tell us. For everything, there is something that compliments it and acts as a counterpart. It is God who created this balance; however, why is there a color known as gray? Why is there something between?

According to some people gray color usually symbolizes neutrality, and ambiguity. If reffering to the term gray area, this color may also mean something that is unclear and something cannot be classified. Gray can be used to connote things that prefer to stay in the middle of two sides. Therefore, from what stated lately, do you appreciate this color?

In the view of foregoing, The youth of our country, the Philippine is turning “gray”. Whatever happen around us doesn’t seem to bother them. They tend to stay in the middle  of everything because they believe that being neutral is the best way to lessen the obtainment of cares that these sides have. Taking sides only means involving in and getting also the problem that the two sides are factoring.

Taking no sides may mean indifference or  being unconcerned. We believed that every person should participate and take his or her own stand. It is either joining the black or joining the white. Doing this type of action surely helps in proving that the youth are still eager to stand up and save the country. The country surely needs the youth’s help and participation especially in this time where we feel the economic crisis in almost every aspect of life. It is now the time to depart from the passive “gray area.

However, being gray is not always negative. If the youth choose to be gray, they take a stand in being neutral or they stand by themselves. Nobody can tell whether the youth’s decision, which is to stay unbiased or stay in the middle, turns out right. There is a possibility that they are keeping away froma side so that they can understand the real situation and ponder on right things to do.

So what have you decided to do? What do you think of that color? Don’t just Agree or Disagree with what was stated. Act now and keep the fire of the youth burning!

When you received the grace to think God’s way, you will never fall again into sadness. One can be sad only if he is deprived of something he desires very much. Most human Sadness are born of worldly attachments.

If you want God above all else, you will not be sad at being deprived of anything on earth. The more you come to realize what and who is God,  the more you want him above every created things. Only things can mnake us sad, yet even then, we soon turn to God and abandon our sadness

The sadness of worldly man comes from his self love. We are sad because we failed to have what we wishes. We are often moved to anger at those who hinder us from getting what we want. We becomes jealous of what we love, and envies those who have what we desires.

Just follow God and live in peace. Do not be troubled if something is said against you. It is not the first time, nor will it be the last. In fact, more was said behind your bac k than what you actually hear. Do not lose any sleep over the judgments of men. Do your best  for God and seek his approval. If you’re pleasing him, you have reason to be glad.

How many friends stand by you when you need them? As soon as sacrifice is required, so many of these so-called friends are busy with other matters.

No matter how dear any human may be to you, you still live your daily life pretty much alone. In the middle of the night or in the moments of fatigue or at times when others are absorbed in their own interest, you get a momentary awareness of being alone, of being unnoticed or forgotten by others.

Do not overestimate earthly friendship. Sooner or later, you must leave your friends or they must leave you. If we depend too much on any human companion, we will have to bear the painful separation later.

Human Friendship needs God’s blessing. Let’s try to help our friends come nearer to God by our good influence or example. Look forward to the purification and continuation of your earthly friendship in heaven. With God, earthly friendship can be a lasting thing.

God is our divine friend. we long to live a truthful life, a life which is not ruled by blind feelings or unthinking emotions. Our friends are human like us, with faults, limitations and short comings. No one never come between you and God. With God Alone, you will find the perfection of friendship.
