I love Rice Cake or in Philppines, it is commonly called as “Puto.” Traditionally, this Filipino native delicasy is cooked by steaming method. Since Rice is an important staple food for Filipino people, Rice is the main ingredient in this dish.
Puto is usually eaten as a dessert, but can also be eaten for breakfast dipped into or paired with a cup of hot coffee or hot chocolate. It tastes mostly like rice but slightly sweeter.

Puto is very easy to cook. Just prepare 2 cups of rice soaked in water over night. Place the puree soaked rice inside a heavy duty blender until it becomes fine. There are ready made rice powder in the market too! Pour the fine blended rice in a bowl then add sugar and 2 tsp of baking powder. Just mix it well and set aside.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add 2 tablespoons sugar to keep the air in the beaten egg whites. Fold the egg whites into the beaten rice batter and pour into muffin pans. Steam for about 20 minutes or until done.
Spread butter on the top of your steamed rice cake until it melts. You can serve this dish with grated coconut or with a filipino dish called “Dinuguan”( if you are familiar with it!

Philippines is a tropical country that’s why a tropical fruit like Pineapple is very common to find. Pineapple is eaten fresh and perfect for desserts, salads, and of cource Fruit Cocktails. It can also serve as a complement for meat dishes. Here in the Philippines, one of my mom’s specialty is a chicken dish called “Pininyahang Manok”. It is a Chicken dish cooked with pineapple juice and coconut milk. My mom even add some pineapple chunks into it.
However, for an acidic person like me, i should have control my self in eating too much pineapple as it’s known for having a high acid content which is quite harmful for me.
oh did i mentioned desserts a while ago? Have you tried Pineapple tarts? My Auntie is good in making tarts…oh my and now i’m craving for them! I better go and visit my Auntie and ask her to bake some tarts for me! Yum Yum

It’s almost the end of the month… My doubts are still the same. I feel that I won’t get regularized because of my stats. Though my team mates are giving me encouragements still I don’t like what I feel. It seems that I don’t fit in a technical support account. Did I like it in the first place? I asked for a customer service account. I just don’t know why I’m here. It is because they just need people to fill in the posistion or I really deserve it? What should I do in this demanding account? should I start finding for another company? Most of my CSAT surveys are not good though I try my best to resolve issues. They are asking for explainations why I can’t meet the target for FCR (First Call Resolution). What can I do if the call needs to be transferred to another department. I seems that they don’t understand that I’m still new in the account and I’m still learning. I believe that you can’t learn everything in just one sitting and it takes time for a person to become somewhat expert. I hope that I can find the answers to all my questions.

Have you ever won a contest online? Most of us are in doubt in joining a certain contest done over the Internet. Is there really an assurance that you can win or if you did, how about the prizes? Are they real?
In my opinion, it depends on what type of contest and what site are you going to join. Before participating in any form of contest online, make sure that you observe first.
Check the history of the hosting website.
Check how old the site is. A month old site that organize a contest is quite suspicious perhaps, the site author is doing it for promotion purposes, to generate traffic and to gained link popularity.
Do not ever disclose any of your personal information. If a contest asks you to provide your email address or any other personal data from you, do not disclose anything unless you have proven that the site is reliable and trustworthy.
Beware of Scammers. Always be observant and wise. Investigate before doing any move. If a site offers a huge amount of prizes, don’t be deceived by it. Be wise or else, you’ll regret it in the end.
Beware of Hackers. Some contest will require you to submit your email address. Some sites are doing it in purpose to hack someone else’s emails.
Have you ever won a contest online? I did! I won 4 times already but those are not as huge as what you’re thinking. Those are friendly contest conducted by some of my fellow bloggers.

I won a 5 cinema tickets, one customized tumbler, 20 bucks and a $100 coupon. Joining any form of contest online, whether by participating any online game or a raffled-based contest is fun. What important is we are ensured that we’re dealing with a trusted site. How about you? Have you ever join any online contest? Have you won? Share us your experience.

http://www.drexel.edu/univrel/digest/archive/021705/pancake.jpg

(the picture shown above is not the actual photo of the pancake that i’ve made)

So today, i will be sharing you how to make Banana Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 tbs Sugar
  • 1 tbs Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/9 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 to 4 medium bananas peeled and cut into about 1/4 inch thick slices.
  • maple syrp and chopped pecans
  • butter

Just mix the flour sugar, salt, nutmeg in a large bowl. Melt butter in a small saucepan and set aside. Whisk eggs in a medium bowl add milk, vanilla extract, and 3 tbs of melted butter. Whsik everything until well mixed. Pour the mixture into the flour mixture, stir until batter is smooth and thick.

Heat the remaining 2tbs of melted butter in a large frying fan ove medium heat. Add banana slices and cook both sides until caramelized golden brown color, about 3-4 minutes per side. Stir half into the batter. Reserve remaining slices for the toppings.

Heat 1tbs oil in a large dkillet or griddle over medium heat. Measure 1/2 vup batter per pancake and pour into a pan or gridle when oil is hot. Cooked until bubbles appear around the pancake edges. Flip and cook until brown on other side. Remove from pan, setting aside in warm oven. Cartefully wipe out pan or griddle and add more oil if necessary. Repeat the procedure to make your desired number of pancakes.

Serve the pancakes on individual plates or a serving platter. Top it with caramelized bananas, syrup and pecans!

Yummy!

I am addicted into coffee since i was in high school. Even the weather is warm, i still drink coffee.
I am drinking 5-7 cups of coffee a day!

I want a strong coffee with less sugar and creamer. I make use of coffee as my daily energizer.
However, according to some doctors, too much Coffee consumption can lead to iron deficiency anemia in mothers and infants. Coffee also interferes with the absorption of supplemental iron.
Despite of this advantages of over consumption of coffee, it is still rich in antioxidants which helps preventing free radicals from causing cell damage!
I know that too much consumption of coffee is bad so i have to control my self. Tea can be an ideal alternative for coffee1 I think i must give it a try!

LORD OF THE RINGS ONLINE

LotRO (or more properly, The Lord of Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar) may not change the way MMORPG’s are played, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s a combination of the World of WarCraft’s Combat, Cities of Heroes deed system, Final Fantasy XI’s group manouvers, and a whole lot more! What sets Lord og the Rings Online apart from the pack is the music system. This allow your characters to play an instrument through the use of the keyboard’s numeric key pad like a piano. You can even make your own songs and jam with other players. On the minus side, character creation is a bit limited, and i wish it would have a PvP that did’nt limit you to just sending high-level monsters against players.

You can choose one from four available races in the game. This races includes:

Race of Man

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.massively.com/media/2008/02/lotro_races_004_v2.jpg

Because humas get bonuses lie better melee damage an Morale regen during combat, its good to choose a class that plays to these strengths. While this race allows you to choose from any of the classes available, Humans can make Good Champions and Captains

Race of Elves

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.massively.com/media/2008/02/lotro_races_001_v2.jpg

Though they have the lowest Morale among all the races, Elves can make good Hunters with ther hgh agility. Plus , a radical accomplishment somewhere down the leveling line increases Elves’ damage using bows.

Race of  Dwarfs

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.massively.com/media/2008/02/lotro_races_005_v2.jpg

Dwarfs are built for combat so choose a class like Guardian or Champion to take advantage of this. Avoid the Hunter class because you wuill be shooting a lot of arrows while putting up with decreased Agility. There are no female character available for Dwarfs.

Race of Hobbit

http://mmohut.com/wp-content/gallery/the-lord-of-the-rings-online-overview/lotro-race-choices.jpg

We’d say Frodo… but Frodo wasnt really a burglar. Hs uncle Blbo though is the aster burglar, which is an exellent class choice frp hobbits. With low Might but with high Vitality, though, practically any of the non -combat classes are Hobbit-worthy.

FANTASTIC 4~ PLAY STATION 2

http://static.gamesradar.com/images/mb//GamesRadar/us/Games/F/Fantastic%204%20Rise%20of%20the%20Silver%20Surfer/Bulk%20Viewers/PS3/2007-03-14/UPM86.pre_ff4.grab03--screenshot_large.jpg

Almost all of the scene in the movie are in the game, from our heroes getting their powers in outer spce to confronting the tunnel-dwelling Mole Man and their arch-nemesis, Doctor Doom. The Film’s actors even have digital counterparts in the game, and they’re wonderful to watch in the cut scenes between missions. The in-game action though, is’nt as amazing, and the repeated use of the team’s powers in beating up hundreds of bad guys can get boring pretty fast.

http://i.testfreaks.com/images/products/600x400/11/fantastic-four.3125771.jpg

It more fun to play Fantastic 4 with a friend since the game supports cooperative play, but if you prefer going solo, you can switch control of team members while the rest fight along side you as backup, controlled by the computer. While there are some mini puzzles and quite a number of power upgrades to look forward to, the game’s focus on non-stop, repetitive action can easily wear you out.

http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2007/172/reviews/938091_20070622_790screen003.jpg

The Film sound track is used in the game and all the actors do the character voices. Most of the cut scenes sound good, but in the actual game, hearing our heroes repeating the same lines over and over is more irritating than enduring.

The game takes over six hours to finish and you can unlock a whole bunch of goodies like movie trailers, actor interviews, comic book covers, concept art and more. The Arena Fight mode also lets you test your skills against computer or fellow players.

While Fantastic 4 is okay for a quick game with a friend, it probably won’t keep you interested long enough to finish the game. While it’s cool to play as the “Thing” not being able to bash down walls or throw trucks around can be very frustrating- and not able to fly more than a high foot as the “Human Torch” is just as bad.
